Missed Calls

How do information technologies shape human connection?

Phone boxes were an early technology that allowed us to connect with each other in real time across vast distances. But as communication technology has advanced and become accelerated through the Internet and AI, phone boxes have become a defunct technology.

This project explores human connection via phone boxes, missed calls, and unsaid messages. Abandoned phone boxes light back to life, and calls echo into the stillness of the night.
